Ketoconazole is a synthetic Imidazole derivate with antimycotic activities that interfere with ergosterol synthesis, therefore increasing the permeability of cell membrane of fungal sensitive to Ketoconazole.
Indications:Treatment of dermatophytes infections of the skin, eg. Tinea Corporis, Tinea Cruris, Tinea Manus, and Tinea pedis due to Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton Mentagrophytes, Microsporum Canis, and Epidermophyton Floccosum; treatment of Cutaneous Candidiasis, and Tinea Versicolor; Seborrhoic Dermatitis due to Pytirosporum Ovale.
For Athletes Foot:Wash the infected area and dry well (especially between the toes). Apply to cream thinly to the affected areas twice daily for 1 week for mild infections between the toes, or until 2 to 3 days after all signs of more severe infection have disappeared.
